1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Compvert (“the service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
Compvert offers free online tools to compress, convert, merge, and split files. No account or registration is required. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any tool at any time, including enforcing file-size, daily-quota, and rate limits to keep the service fair for everyone.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload or process content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, or that violates anyone's privacy or intellectual-property rights;
- upload malware or use the service to attack, probe, or disrupt our systems or third parties;
- attempt to bypass limits, quotas, or security measures, or to access other users' files (files are addressed by unguessable tokens — do not share your download links publicly if the content is sensitive);
- use outputs in a way that misleads others (e.g., removing watermarks or attribution you are not entitled to remove).
You confirm you have the right to upload and convert the files you submit. Automated or bulk use must respect our rate limits; abusive traffic may be blocked.
4. Your content
You retain all rights in your files. By uploading, you grant us only the temporary, limited right to store and process them to deliver the requested result. Files are deleted automatically (1 hour after download, or 6 hours if never downloaded). Download links are bearer links: anyone with the link can download the result until it expires.
5. Intellectual property
The site, logo, design, and code are our property or licensed to us. You may use the service for personal and commercial file processing, but you may not copy, scrape at abusive volumes, rebrand, or resell the service itself without permission.
6. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of conversions, preservation of quality, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Always keep your own backup of important files before converting.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (the core service is free).
8. Abuse and copyright complaints
If you believe content processed through the service infringes your rights, or if you spot abuse, contact us via the email address in the site footer with a description, relevant URLs or job details, and your contact information. Because files expire within hours, include timestamps and act promptly.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; continued use after the “Last updated” date means acceptance. We may block IPs or ranges that abuse the service.
10. Contact
